Prof. Brett Barker shared the following letter or Order, with me. He found it in Series 1200, 2nd Wis. Vol. Inf. Correspondence, Correspondence for July – September 1863. I found this interesting, and so did Brett. I have never seen another like it, mainly because it shows what the soldiers was ordered to use in the corps.

Also, Brett found a very interesting “List of wounded in the 2nd Regt. Wis. Vols. at the battle of Gettysburg, Penn., July 1st, 2nd & 3rd.” I will get this item ready, “Hopefully” in a few days and ship it along. Its three pages long and will make for good reading.
