 I was looking through my Harvey General Hospital List and guess who I found.... Pvt. Irville E. Johnson, Co. "K", 13th Wis. Inf.

            Admitted from: Furloughed from Regiment

            Diagnosis:  Chronic Diarrhea

            Discharged: October 19th, 1864

            Remarks: Discharged due to Chronic Diarrhea of 9 months standing & an expired term of service. Final Statements given.

 

I also checked my list of soldiers "Inventory of Effects & Final Statements" report. His name was not listed there. I find it hard to believe a person could be subject to Diarrhea for 9 months and live through it.  At any rate, I hope you enjoy.......
